2. What are the merits and limitation of Geometric mean?
3. Discuss the importance of probability in decision making.
4. What are the requirements of a good sample?
5. Distinguish between positive and negative correlation with the help of a scatter diagram.

6. In a class of 25 students, 12 students have taken economics, 8 have taken economics but not
politics.
(a) Find the number of students have taken economics and politics.
(b) Find those who have taken politics but not economics.
7. Calculate the mean and median from the following frequency distribution.

8. Explain the different types of events in probability theorem.
9. Among 1000 workers in a factory exposed to an epedemic, 700 in all were attacked, 400 had been
inoculated and of these 200 were attacked. On the basis of this information, can it be said, that inoculation and attack are independent?
10. What are the various methods of collecting statistical data? Which of these is most reasonable and why?
11. Calculate coefficient of correlation for the following data of sales (X) and expenses (Y) in lakh of rupees of firms.

12. What are the index number? Explain their uses and limitations.
