The National Entrance Screening Test, NEST 2014

The National Entrance Screening Test, NEST is a must for those who seeks admission to the 5 years Integrated M.Sc Programme in basic sciences such as Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai.

Eligibility:

You should have passed from science stream at class XII examination or equivalent from any recognised Board in India in 2012 or 2013 or are appearing in 2014 can appear in NEST 2014 examination.

Age limit: General and OBC category candidates born on or after 22 July 1994 are only eligible to apply. The age limit will be relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Disabled (PD) candidates.

How to apply:
You can apply online through the official NEST using the official website. Registration for applying opens in the official website on 7 January 2014. The application fee for the male candidates of General/OBC category is Rs. 700 and Rs. 350/- will be for for SC/ST/PD and all female candidates.

Date of commencent of application for NEST 2014: 7th January 2014
Last date for receiving for offline application form: 20th February 2014
Closing of Online/Offline application: 8th March 2014
Download / Dispatch of Admit Card begins: 8th April 2014
NEST 2014 examination: 31th May 2014
Announcement of results in NEST website: 20th June 2014
