17.   Explain different types of loss that occur in the propagation of light through the optical fiber.

18.   (a) Explain the principle  behind the propagation of light through the fiber.
(b) List out the advantages of optical fiber communication over conventional communication.

19.   Discuss in detail the soft and hard magnetic materials.

20.   Derive the expression for internal or local electric field in dielectric materials.
