            PART – A                           (30 Marks)

Answer All the Questions

1.     Draw the first angle and third angle projection symbols.        (2)

2.     How to dimension a symmetrical part and holes?                         (2)

3.     What is tolerance? What are the different types of tolerance? (2)

4.     What is interference fit? Explain with a neat sketch.            (2)

6.     Compute the limit dimensions for a clearance fit on the hole basis system for a basic size of 50 mm diameter, with a minimum clearance of 005 mm, tolerance on the hole is 0.045 mm and tolerance on the shaft is 0.15 mm. Check the computed dimension.                                                                               (10)

7.     Draw the three views of ISO threaded hexagonal bolt 150 mm long, 24 mm diameter and a thread length of 60 mm with a hexagonal nut. Indicate all the proportions and the actual dimensions.                                                                                (10)
