7.     What is a Colpitts Oscillator? Give its applications.

8.     What are the merits and demerits of negative feedback?

9.     List the applications of Operational Amplifier.

10.   List the applications of a 555 timer IC.

11.   Explain the Transition Capacitance of a PN junction diode? Derive the expression for the same.

13.   Convert a transistor in Common Emitter configuration to its hybrid model. Give the expressions of current gain, voltage gain, input and output impedances.

14.   Explain in detail the construction and working of a N-Channel Mos FET in enhancement and depletion mode.

15.   What is the need for biasing a BJT? Discuss in detail on various circuits used for biasing BJT.

16.   Explain the working of a class A power amplifier. Derive an expression for its efficiency.

17.   Classify the feedback amplifiers and explain the working of any two types with neat diagrams.

18.   Draw the circuit of a transistorized RC phase shift oscillator and explain its working. Derive the expression for its frequency of oscillation.

19.   Discuss the application of a Op-amp as a

        (b) Comparator

20.   Draw the circuit of a mono-stable multivibrator using IC 555 and explain its working. Give its applications.
