3 Define plant layout? Explain various objectives of a good layout design.
4 State the various functions of purchasing department in an industry.
5 Explain the concept of personnel management. Analyze how it differs from HRM.
6 Explain the importance of ‘PERT’ in network analysis. Distinguish between ‘LPM’ and ‘PERT’.
7 What is ‘SWDT’ analysis? Analyze how ‘SWDT’ analysis can be used to evolve appropriate corporate strategy.
8 Briefly explain the following:
(a) Total Quality Management (TQM).
