One is Raw Marks and another one is Normalised Marks. So question arises what is called Raw Marks? and What is Normalised marks? Which one is to considered? The answer is Normalised marks. In Anna University TANCET exams, you have three parts. First two parts are common for all and last one is specialisation each candidates choose. From the first two parts, marks are evaluated and given as mean 'm'. And the Part III will be considered as Standard Deviation 'S'. These mean 'm' and Standard Deviation 'S'. are used to calculate normalised marks. Raw marks are the marks when you see results TANCET 2015. Normalised marks will be calculated from the following formula.
Normalised marks = 40 + (10/s) (r – m) . This mark should be used for Anna University Counselling through TANCA 2015.
