1) How are fields, records, files, and databases related ? explain with an example.
2) What are the advantages and disadvantages of database management system ?
3) Explain the terms: association, relationship, aggregation, specialization.
4) Give any four main responsibilities of a DBA. what are the fall outs if a DBA do not live up to
these responsibilities ?
5) Let C be a certain club, and let relvar R (A,B) be such that the tuple (a,b) appears in R if and
only if a and b are both members o C. what are FDs, MVD,s and JD,s does R satisfy ? what
normal is it in ?
6) what are the different join methods available in oracle ?
7) explain the following example. which type of cursor is being used in the example ? Justify your
