1. A) Define the term “Wages” and explain the provisions relating to Payment of Minimum rate
of Wages and Exemption of liability of employer in certain cases under Minimum Wages
Act, 1948.

B) State main three objectives and explain the procedure for fixation or revision of Minimum
wages under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
2. A) Discuss the features of M.R.T.U. and PULP Act and explain the unfair Labour Practices
on the part of unions.

B) Discuss the Provisions relating to obligations and Rights of Recognized Union under
the Maharashtra Recognition of Trade Union and Prevention of Unfair Labour
Practices Act, 1971.
3. A) Discuss the provisions of Payment of Gratuity Act and explain the circumstances under
which gratuity may be paid and the circumstances under which the worker is not eligible
to get gratuity ?

B) Discuss the circumstances under which gratuity may be Forfeited and Explain the
provision relating to Nomination under Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.
4. A) What do you mean by “Apprentice” and explain about the various authorities and their
functions under the Apprentices Act, 1961 ?

a) Novation and Termination of contract of Apprenticeship
b) Offences and penalties.

with complaints relating to Unfair labour Practices.
