Biology & Diversity of Viruses, Bactria and Fungi
Course Code: MSc BO-01
Time Allowed: 3 Hours Maximum Marks:80
NOTE: Attempt any five questions. Each question carries equal marks.

1. Give an account of classification of viruses

2. Describe and illustrate the ultra structure of T4 bacteriphage.

3. Give an account of various mode of reproduction in bacteria.

4. What are the respiratory illnesses due to mycoplasmal infections?

5. Give an account of following:

(i) Role of Bacteria in medicine (ii) Symptoms of Plant diseases caused by Virus

6. Write notes on following:

(i) Sex hormones in fungi (ii) Nutritional Requirements of fungi

7. Describe various asexual fructification bodies in fungi.

8. Write about the structure and biology of mushrooms.

9. Explain the advantages of mycorrhizal application to the field crops.

10. Write an essay on the advantages of biofertilizers.

Same pattern of question paper will be followed for MSc BO-02, MSc BO- 03 and MSc BO-04

Note: This model paper is applicable for only June 2014 examination.
