Safe Handling and Storage of Nestle Lactogen
What ever you follow, Lactogen 1 or Lactogen 2 or Lactogen 3 or Lactorgen 4, you should follow the below simple steps to handle the lactogen pack. Extra care should be taken as your baby should get nutrition in his / her first 2 years of life. Here are the steps after you buying the lactogen and start opening the pack.
Step 1: Check the inside pouch thoroughly for any visible signs of leakage / holes. Do not use the product if the inside pouch is leaking and contact Nestle Consumer Services
Step 2: Cut open the pouch with a clean pair of scissors
Step 3: Transfer the contents of the pack along with the pouch into a clean airtight container
Step 4 : Ensure enclosed scoop is thoroughly washed and dried before putting in the airtight container. Close the lid properly after each use. Store in a cool and dry place
Additional Tips :
Use the lactogen pack within 3 weeks of opening or before the expiry date which ever is earlier. Suppose if expiry date is 1 year from the date of opening, then you must use it within 3 weeks. If anything excess lactogen after 3 weeks, just discard it. If suppose, you have just 1 week of expiry date after opening the lactogen pack, then don't use it for 3 weeks. Just use it for 1 week and discard the remaining.
