2. Write the important function of developer in liquid penetrant testing.
3. How the eddy current is generated ?
4. What is continuous emission in AE activity ?
5. What are the limitations of MPT methods ?
6. Mention the applications of Thermography in petroleum industry .
7. What is acoustic impedance ?
8. What is the standard code IS 9664 : 1981 recommend for ?

16.(a) Briefly discuss the magnetic particle testing for revealing surface and sub surface cracks of a steam turbine blade. Comment on performance of LPT for inspection of same defects. (15)
