PART C

19. Distinguish between arrest and custody. Discuss constitutional parameters regarding protection of arrested persons. Support your answer with the help of decided cases.
20. Discuss the aims and objects of the Prisons Act, 1894. Critically examine the Legislation in the context of present day scenario.
21. What do you understand by the court system ? Discuss statutory provisions relating to establishment of criminal courts in India and their statutory authority to pass sentences.
22. What do you understand by forensic pathology ? What is the significance of medico-legal post-mortem and its evidentiary value ? Support your answer with the help of statutory provisions.
